Trinity Lutheran College officially welcomed John W. Reed as its new president on
July 1. An inauguration ceremony is being planned for October 16 at the Historic Everett Theatre.

“We are pleased that John Reed will be Trinity’s next president,” said Board Chair Ernie Fosse. “The combination of his gifts, passion, and experience will provide the type of guidance our college needs.”

“John Reed embraces who we are as a college. He is committed to the biblical center of our mission and seeks to grow and enhance it, not change it,” says Board Vice Chair Deborah Squires, who chaired the Presidential Search Committee. The committee was comprised of representatives of the board, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and the local community, who chose Reed from among four finalists after a nationwide search. He was unanimously elected by the Board of Directors on May 20.

Reed was appointed Chief Executive Officer in September to provide interim leadership following President John Stamm’s retirement. Prior to Trinity, Reed worked as a senior consultant with Noel-Levitz, an enrollment management consulting firm based in Littleton, CO. He has also served as Director of Enrollment Management at Whitworth College (now University), Spokane, WA, and as Vice President of Enrollment Management at Linfield College, McMinnville, OR.
