First Year Students
Applying to Trinity is easy—and free. Here’s how:

Complete our online application.

Request transcripts.
Ask your high school counselor to send us your official high-school transcripts. If you are a running start student, please request official transcripts from all colleges you have previously attended.
Have all transcripts mailed to:

Submit a recommendation form.
The recommendation form is to be completed by someone who knows you well, such as a teacher, counselor, pastor, employer or community leader. Ask them to submit the recommendation form [pdf] directly to us by fax at 425.249.4801 or mail to Trinity Lutheran College, Office of Admissions, 2802 Wetmore Ave., Everett, WA 98201. -
Submit test scores.
Trinity requires the ACT or SAT as a college entrance examination. We accept scores listed on official high school transcripts, or you can request ACT or SAT send us scores directly.
Trinity code numbers for the tests are: SAT-4408, ACT-4453. -
Submit your writing essay.
Our online application includes a writing essay. This essay may be submitted by e-mail to admissions@tlc.edu or fax to 425.249.4801. Click here to download the instructions as a PDF.
Notification of Acceptance
You can expect an admission decision by mail within two to three weeks after we have received all of your application materials. The Trinity admission staff considers each application individually, considering your academic performance, test scores, recommendation, as well as your school, church and community involvement.
Home School
Trinity Lutheran College understands the distinct needs of homeschool students. We understand that each homeschooler comes from a diverse educational foundation. Whether they partner with homeschool co-ops or support groups, are taught solely at home, or in partnership with other public or private schools, the uniqueness of Trinity can accommodate the uniqueness of the homeschool individual.
When applying to Trinity, we require an application, character reference, transcripts, and SAT/ACT scores. Students should submit any parent made transcripts as well as any transcripts from distance learning and/or online high schools. If such transcripts are not available, a portfolio of high school completion should be submitted.

Running Start
High school students with Running Start credits at the time of application are considered first-time students. Running Start students must meet first year application deadlines and Trinity's first year admission standards. Running Start credits are accepted as transfer credits based on the receipt of official academic transcripts from the community colleges attended.
